Tribute to the Prophet Joseph Smith at His Birthplace in Sharon, Vermont
Abstract
December 23, 1805, Joseph Smith Jr. was born in Sharon, VT. Later in his life, he became the Prophet of the Restoration, who brought light, truth, and priesthood keys back that had been lost throughout years of apostasy. Today, at the place where his childhood home was, there stands a Visitors’ Center and a monument to commemorate his birth, built and dedicated one hundred years after his birth.
