Abstract

Joseph and Lucy Mack Smith moved to Waterloo/Seneca Falls, New York (Old Kingdom), in the fall of 1830 and remained until they left for Ohio the following spring. It was likely here that the Prophet Joseph Smith received three revelations now recorded in the Doctrine and Covenants (D&C 35, 36, 37). Sidney Rigdon and Edward Partridge, whom the Lord addressed in the revelations travelled from Ohio to New York to meet the Prophet Joseph Smith and Edward was baptized in the nearby Seneca River in the midst of winter.
