Abstract

The most important event to happen in these latter days occurred in the Sacred Grove in Palmyra, New York. Here, the fourteen-year-old boy, Joseph Smith Jr., knelt down and, in response to fervent prayer, received a vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ. The nine contemporary accounts of the First Vision are included in the presentation.

Newel.” Our apologies to Dr. Newell… The location of the Smith Frame home identified by a box in the aerial photograph is actually the building to the east Also, of interest, Hathaway Creek was sometimes referred to as “Crooked Creek.”
